This picture was taken on 26th March 2006 at Rockport Texas. It's not quite as clear as I would like but they're difficult to catch in flight. A day before this photo was taken another photographer managed to catch a pair of them in flight and the male was flying upside down; showing off for his lady friend.
This picture was taken on 25th March 2006 at a small Island just off Rockport Texas. You don't normally find Flamingo's in Texas but this bird got lost. He was supposed to be in the Yucatan but has been here since last fall.
This Whooping Crane picture was taken on 25th March 2006 at some Islands just off Rockport Texas where all wild Whooping Cranes spend the winter. There is only 215 left in existance but back in the 12940's and 50's there was only 15. They are attempting to establish another colony in Florida.
This picture taken at Weslaco Nature Center on 15 March 2006. This view shows that they look like an American Goldfinch wearing a Tuxedo. This picture isn't quite as clear as I prefer, but it's the best I have showing this view.
This picture was taken at the Weslaco Valley Nature Center on 15 March 2006. Believe it or not, there were six pairs of them all in the same tree and there was about 20 people mulling around under the tree which didn't seem to bother them.
Picture taken at Bentsen Rio Grande State Park on 11 March 2006. The picture was taken from the Kiskadee trail blind using a bit of peanut butter to attract him.

This is a very unique little flower that is only about 1/2" across. If you look closely you can see the bat's eyes and teeth and the two red petals are its ears. This is one of many flowers located at the Bentsen Palm Village RV Resort.
This was taken at Edinburg on 8th February 2006. It's the same bird as the one below. I entered in in the parks photo contest as well and got an honourable mention.
This picture was taken at Edinburg Texas on 8th February 2006. I entered this picture in our parks photo contest but it wasn't selected which surprised me. It's my favourite picture.

Taken at Dewin's near Salinanio on 12th January. Originally it's head disapeared into the tree as it was the same colour. Using photoshop I got the head to show. It's not the greates picture but I like his attitude.
This was taken at the Bentsen Rio Grande Texas State Park on 29th January 2006. I don't much care for pictures at feeders but this one is too clear not to post.

Picture was taken at Dewins on 17th January 2006 which is close to Salineno. This is just a private site run by a couple that have been there with their RV for the last 22 years. They're located right on the Rio Grande River and even have a bullet hole in their RV caused by smuglers coming across from Mexico.
