These pictures were taken on May 7th & 8th, 2009 in our back yard. They usually stay in the same area that they were brought up in and learn to sing from other White Crowned Sparrows that are close to them. Because of this, they actually have different songs or dialects, depending on where they were raised.
Wow ..how can you recognise their dialects, Fred? They sure look like little ladies, elegant and demure.
