These pictures were taken on January 11th, 2009 at Bentsen Rio Grande Valley State Park, Mission, Tx. I was trying to stop wing motion and have the entire bird in focus. These shots were taken at 1/8000's of a second, f11 with an ISO of 800 and a better beamer flash. If you look closely wing motion is almost stopped, just the last two feathers showing a little blur, so I came close, but I hate the background, it's grainy due to the high ISO and underexposure of the background. Oh well, the professionals use up to 7 flashes and an artificial background.
