Sharp Shinned Hawk
These pictures were taken in our back yard on May 22nd, 2008. I was shooting Hummingbirds when this Hawk swooped down, circled a Honey Suckle bush and landed on the lawn. He had something in his beak, but he also had something larger in his claws as can be seen in the flight picture. At first I thought he might have a Hummingbird in his beak and it looks something like a snake in his left claw, but I'm not sure. It would be rare if he caught two things at once. Double click on the images and see if you can figure it out.

Bumble Bee
This picture was taken on May 24th, 2008 in our back yard. I wasn't aware but apparently there is 50 different species of Bumble Bee's and they are closely related to the Honey Bee.

Ruby Throated Hummingbird, male
These pictures were taken on May 19th, 2008 in our back yard. Photographing hummingbirds is tough and these pictures aren't perfect, so I guess I'll have to keep trying.

Mourning Dove
This picture was taken on 17th May, 2008 in our back yard. This is actually the same picture, but it's cropped two different ways. I'm not sure which crop I prefer. Let me know which you like best.
