Orange Crowned Warbler
These pictures were taken in late January and early February, 2008 at the Bentsen Rio Grande State Park. I kind of like the top picture where his feathers are all fluffed up from the wind.

Black Crested Titmouse
These pictures were taken on 12th January, 2008. At one time they were considered to be the same breed as the Tufted Titmouse which is further north, but they are now considered to be a separate breed.

Green Parakeet
These pictures were taken on 8th February, 2008 at 10th Street and Dove St. Mcallen, Texas. Watching these birds is one of the most comical shows I've seen. Every night approximately 45 minutes before dusk (5:30 PM on 8th Feb.), they all congregate on the electrical wires about 100 yards east of 10th Street and Dove. They are among the most affectionate fun loving little birds you'll ever see. If you are in this area, it is well worth your time to go to this spot and watch the show. You won't regret it.

Gray Hawk, Juvenile
These pictures were taken on 6th February, 2008 on the Old Military Road, Mission, Texas. I don't particularly like pictures of hawks on Electrical poles, but lets face it, that's what hawks do.
