This picture was taken on March 5th, 2009 at the Bentsen, Rio Grande Valley State Park, Mission, Texas. Mockingbirds actually played a role in Charles Darwin's theory of evolution. When visiting the Galapogos Islands in 1835, he noticed that Mockingbirds varied slightly in appearance from Island to Island and from those in South America. This plus observations of other species eventually led to the theory of evolution.
