These pictures were taken on July 21st & 22nd, 2009. This little guy was just singing his heart out. He was making a nest in a bird house we had put up and he would gather twigs and then sing, sing, sing. If you don't have a Wren bird house I suggest you get one. They have a beautiful song and it's quite loud for such a little guy.

My grandfather always had house wrens on his front porch, and had even built tiny tiny perches for his wrens so they didn't have to cling to the trim work on the house. I keep a wren house on my porch and am happy to see wrens return each year. Thanks for the beautiful photos!
It must have taken a lot of patience to take the picture of a singing bird! Most of them would stop singing and fly off the moment they notice some human activity around them..
