Greater Scaup
This picture was taken on 22nd March at Rockport. I think it is a greater Scaup but could be a lesser Scaup. Let me know if you have an opinion.

Scissor-tailed Flycatcher
This picture was taken on 26th March 2006 at Rockport Texas. It's not quite as clear as I would like but they're difficult to catch in flight. A day before this photo was taken another photographer managed to catch a pair of them in flight and the male was flying upside down; showing off for his lady friend.

Lesser Goldfinch
This picture taken at Weslaco Nature Center on 15 March 2006. This view shows that they look like an American Goldfinch wearing a Tuxedo. This picture isn't quite as clear as I prefer, but it's the best I have showing this view.

Yellow-crowned Night-heron
This picture was taken at the Weslaco Valley Nature Center on 15 March 2006. Believe it or not, there were six pairs of them all in the same tree and there was about 20 people mulling around under the tree which didn't seem to bother them.

Batfaced Cuphea
This is a very unique little flower that is only about 1/2" across. If you look closely you can see the bat's eyes and teeth and the two red petals are its ears. This is one of many flowers located at the Bentsen Palm Village RV Resort.

Great Egret
This photo was taken 3rd March at Edinburg Texas. I think the reason his neck was stretched out so far was because he saw me hiding in the grass.

Audobon Oriole
Taken at Dewin's near Salinanio on 12th January. Originally it's head disapeared into the tree as it was the same colour. Using photoshop I got the head to show. It's not the greates picture but I like his attitude.

Clay Coloured Robin
Picture was taken at Dewins on 17th January 2006 which is close to Salineno. This is just a private site run by a couple that have been there with their RV for the last 22 years. They're located right on the Rio Grande River and even have a bullet hole in their RV caused by smuglers coming across from Mexico.
