Black Crowned Night Heron


This pictures was taken on 27th December, 2006 at the Edinburg, Texas World Birding Center. Black Crowned Night Herons usually begin feeding around dusk and will sit motionless for long periods waiting for a frog or fish to come his way.




Blue Winged Teal

This picture was taken on 27th December 2006, at the Edinburg, Texas World Birding Center. Blue Winged Teals are a relatively small duck, just 14-16" long and next to Mallards, are the most common duck in North America.
