MILL HOUSE STUDIO

For the last three years that I've been turning bowls and so on, I've been doing it in my garage. Not much of a show piece, but it worked. Well, I gave my surgeon, Dr. DeRose a vase as he operated on me on his day off and I wanted to show my gratitude. Well, he liked it and wanted to see my studio!!! STUDIO!!!! I've got a GARAGE!! Well, that got me thinking (a dangerous thing). We had been trying to come up with a name for the nice sitting room out at the mill: The Den; The Mill House Den; The Mill House; The Board Room!!!! Finally it ocurred to me "The Mill House Studio"  Well, between yesterday and today, it happened, the "Mill House Studio" now exists thanks to Dr. DeRose. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

BOWLS, VASES, WINE STOPPERS & MORE BOWLS

I'm just going to post a bunch of pictures of bowls, vases, wine stoppers and more bowls. I've done so many it would take too long to categorize each one properly.

NEW HOBBY

The Den is now going to be called "The Mill House Studio" and I'm putting up shelving to display all of my bowls and vases. The floor is made of Ash, the walls are Knotty Red Pine, the ceiling is Tongue and Groove Cedar and all of the trim is Black Cherry which includes 8 1/2" baseboard and Crown Molding.

Well, I haven't been doing much nature photography or much music for that matter, but I have been staying busy. We also gave up RV'ing so I decided to take up wood working. I have 80 acres of mainly bush, so I decided to buy a band sawmill. Then I needed a place to keep it out of the weather so along with some help from friends I built a 40' by 40' pole barn. Of course the sawmill doesn't take up all that space so I had to go out and buy some tools to fill the space; mainly from KIJIJI as that's a lot cheaper. I also thought there should be a nice little room that a person could just sit down an relax or drink a cold one. Along about this time (2 years ago) I broke my neck (C2) and had to have a titanium screw inserted but somehow my head got put back on a bit of a tilt, so I ended up calling the place "THE LOOSE SCREW MILLING COMPANY". I'll attach some pics.
