Brown Headed Cowbird

These pictures were taken between April 8th & May 6th, 2009 in our back yard. Another name for these guys is Lazy Bird and they really earn this label. The female doesn't build a nest but instead lays all of her eggs in other birds nests. She puts all of her energy into egg production and will sometimes lay as many as 3 dozen eggs.
